Help with your workbook

Have a question about setup or a result that does not look right? Start with the checks below. If you still need help, email hello@getmefi.com with a short description of what you are seeing.

Before you email

Start with the User Guide

Find the instructions for the worksheet you are using and check whether the required setup steps and inputs are complete. Yellow cells indicate checks or validation, and red cells indicate errors or missing information.

Check your imported transactions

Confirm that you pasted transaction data into the correct RawData columns and kept the headers intact. If you used a new export source, check its column arrangement against the User Guide.

Review category and account mappings

Look for original categories or credit-card accounts that have not been mapped. New categories or accounts may need attention after a data update.

Check the dashboard selection

Confirm that the selected year, period, Big Category, and Subcategory contain the transactions you expect to see. If a category shows “No Budget,” check whether you have entered a budget for it.

Review payment-planning inputs

Check the Formula Type selected in CardMapping and any additional information it requires. Review manually entered cash expenses and your Steady Bank Balance Target. Compare PullPredict results with actual statement balances, payment amounts, payment dates, due dates, and bank balances before using the estimates to make decisions.

What to include in your message

  • A brief description of the issue and what you expected to see.
  • The workbook section or worksheet involved.
  • The steps that led to the problem.
  • Your Excel version and device, if known.
  • A screenshot if it helps explain the issue, with unnecessary personal and financial details removed.

You can begin with: “I am using [WORKSHEET NAME]. After [ACTION], I see [RESULT]. I expected [EXPECTED RESULT].”

Keep sensitive information out of your email

Please do not send full bank statements, complete credit-card numbers, bank login credentials, passwords, Social Security numbers, or other unnecessary sensitive financial information. Crop or redact screenshots before attaching them. You can usually explain a workbook issue without sharing your full transaction history.
